
Thai Chicken Satay

A popular appetizer which you can find in any Thai restaurants and a staple in street foods of Thailand. The satays are made with different kind of protein such as beef, shrimp, chicken, tofu or etc.

INGREDIENTS:
MARINADE:
Red curry paste - 2 tbsp
Boneless chicken pieces - 300gm
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Cumin powder - ½ tsp
White pepper powder - ¼ tsp
Turmeric powder - ½ tsp
Ground cinnamon - ⅛ tsp
Ground clove - ⅛ tsp
Brown sugar - 1 tsp
Salt - ½ tsp
White vinegar/ rice wine vinegar/ lime juice - ½ Tbsp
Coconut milk - ⅓ cup
Water - ¼ cup

STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS TO PROCEED WITH THE RECIPE:
In a bowl, add the coconut milk and along with that add all the other ingredients.

Mix it together and check & correct the salt & spice level of needed.

Add in the cleaned & washed chicken pieces to the marinade and let it sit overnight in refrigerator for better flavors and juiciness of the meat or marinate for maximum of 1 hour.

Skewer the chicken in skewers (if using bamboo skewers, soak it in water for an hour before)
and grill it in an oven or on the stove top.

Preheat the oven and grill it in oven at 425 F for 10-12 minutes by flipping the sides in-between after 6 minutes. Finally broil it for 2 minutes.
