
Double Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

I am always super tempted when I see a bunch of ripened bananas š in my fruit bowl. Sometimes I purposefully ignore them to ripe too ! š
A super easy, moist and delicious banana bread with the richness of chocolate š« is all that you need when you are in a bad mood or suits perfect for a relaxed evening with a cup of black coffee āļø

INGREDIENTS:
All purpose flour - 1 cup
Cocoa powder - 1/2 cup
Baking soda - 1 teaspoon
Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
Banana - 3 large ripened(1 ½ cups mashed)
Unsalted butter - 1/4 cup melted & cooled
Canola/vegetable oil/melted coconut oil - 1/4 cup
Light brown sugar- 1/2 cup tightly packed
Egg - 1 large at room temperature
Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
Semi sweet chocolate chips - 1/2 cup divided
Some milk chocolate chips to sprinkle on top.
METHOD:
Measure all the dry ingredients and sift everything together in a bowl.

Whisk everything together and keep it aside.

Take three large ripened bananas and mash it well using forks or masher.


Add the melted butter & oil into the mashed banana and mix it well.

Then add the room temperature egg, vanilla extract and brown sugar to the wet mixture and mix it till the sugar is dissolved well.


Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix well to form a smooth batter. Finally add the semi-sweet chocolate chips & combine it together.

Grease the loaf pan with butter/oil/ghee and then line it with parchment paper. Sprinkle some milk chocolate chips on the top. Transfer the batter to a loaf pan and tap it once for leveling.

Preheat the oven and bake at 350 F for 45-50 minutes. Check with a tooth pick whether itās cooked perfectly and rest it for 10-15 minutes before slicing it.

Store it in refrigerator for a week and warm in microwave for 30 seconds before having it.
