Spicy Indian Macaroni

An Indianised pasta version is a treat for all spice lovers. Here the macaroni pasta is cooked in spicy indian masalas which pulls every taste bud wanting more. It can be customized to anyone's preference and very easy dish to play with the flavors.

what are all the Ingredients you need?

  • Onion -1/4

  • Scallion-3 stalks

  • Tomato - 1 medium

  • Chopped Veggies - any veggie of your choice(carrot, beans, green peas or etc)

  • Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp

  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp

  • Chili powder - 1 1/2 tsp

  • Coriander Powder - 1 tsp

  • Garam Masala - 1/2 tsp

  • Oil - 1 tbsp

  • Fresh cream - 1 tbsp

  • Salt & water - as required

  • Macaroni - 1 cup

Step by Step Instructions to proceed with:


To start with, in a wide pan, add water well enough to submerge the pasta and 2 teaspoons of salt .

Add 1 teaspoon of olive oil and bring the water to rolling boil. The water should be as salty as sea water which suits for cooking any type of pasta.

Add the macaroni pasta and cook for 10 minutes by stirring in between.

After 10 minutes of cooking, make sure the macaroni is al den·te(cooked but still firm when bitten). \

Once it's cooked, strain it in a colander and run through cold water to stop further cooking.

In a pan, add 1 tablespoon of oil. Once it’s hot, add white part of spring onion(optional) and chopped onions.

Add the ginger & garlic paste, sauté till the oil separates and raw smell goes off.

Add any veggies of your choice and all the spice powders.

Sautè for 20 secs without burning the masala powder.

Add the chopped tomatoes and salt to cook the tomatoes faster.

Cover and cook for 3 mins till they get mushy.

Once it’s done, add the cooked macaroni to it.

Mix the macaroni with the masala and make sure its coated well.

Add a tablespoon of cream to make it rich and creamy.

Finally finish it off with chopped coriander and green part of spring onion.
